Acarya Shiilabhadrananda Avt. (Acharya) has a unique ability to bring hope and positivism to the students’ mind. Having more than 30 years of yogic experience, he possesses a deep knowledge about yogic science and lifestyle. He will be teaching the various aspects of the eight-limb Astaunga yoga & is our part-time teacher who’ll be instructing modules 4 & 7.
Acarya Liilananda Avt. (Acharya) became an Acarya in 1982, and has gained fast popularity due to his deep understanding of yoga philosophy, often presented in an innovative and humorous way. He has 25 years of experience in teaching yoga and philosophy in Europe, South America and now in Asia. He’s our part-time teacher who’ll be instructing modules 6 & 7.
Dr. Jitendra Singh (M. Med, Masters of Medicine) set, with his book “Biopsychology – a new science of body, mind and soul”, new standards for the science of Biopsychology. Dr. Jitendra started his journey by learning at the feet of his Guru, and is today considered a world-leading expert on the relationship between body and mind. He received his MBBS from the University of Lucknow and Master of Medicine from University of Melbourne. He’s our part-time teacher who’ll be instructing on bio-psychology (module 3).
Acarya Dharmavedananda Avt. (N.M.D.) majored in psychology before undergoing training as an Acarya in 1972. His speciality is Natural Therapy & his first natural therapy clinics were in Taiwan and Korea. He has given individual treatment to well over 4000 patients. He is now over-seeing the Ananda Marga Wellness Center, in Cebu, which offers to radically improve almost anyone who is diseased or stressed. He’s our part-time teacher who’ll be instructing module 8.
Kaomudii Yip (BHSc. Physiotherapy) is a physiotherapist who has a vast experience in the field of physiotherapy. She has experience in orthopedics and musculoskeletal health, respiratory care, musculoskeletal health (spine), neurology, intensive care and trauma, women’s health, pediatrics & has her own private practice.
Her special interest of areas include: Movement impairment & muscle balance work; and scientific approaches to yoga practice. She’s our part-time teacher who will be teaching anatomy and physiology of yoga asanas (module 3).
Betty Susiarjo (Master of Arts) is an artist and an Art Lecturer. She loves sharing Art with people and communicating ideas through art-making. She exhibits regularly and works within areas such as Painting, Drawing, Sewing, Installation Art and Video work.
Her interest in Yoga started ten years ago and since then she has been studying from various Yoga schools: Sivananda, Ananda Marga and Vivekananda and teaches yoga part time. Her real passion is to bring Art and Yoga together and most importantly, to make other people benefit from these wonderful aspects of living: Yoga and Creativity. She’s our part-time teacher who’ll be instructing module 9.
Acarya Viitaragananda Avt. (Acharya) has been teaching yoga and meditation for more than 15 years. He has a special passion for yogic chanting and bhajans, and his talent for awakening creativity in the student has made him a much sought-after teacher. And he’s our part-time teacher who’ll be instructing module 9; so be ready for an unforgettable journey into the mystical!
Acarya Shankarsan’ananda Avt. (Acharya) has been the in-charge of AMYS since 2001, and will be the resident teacher during the course. He has a broad background in Astaunga yoga (Raja yoga), Raja-Dhi-Raja yoga and Sahaj yoga, with a special passion for meditation. He will be linking the various modules together, and be the students’ guide throughout the course. He’s our full-time teacher who’ll be instructing modules 1,2,4-6 & 8-11.
